The challenge

Most mobile puzzle games fall into one of two traps.

Some demand too much time. A Sudoku session easily runs 15–20 minutes — hard to fit into a lunch break, easy to abandon mid-solve. Others go the opposite direction: tap-tap-tap, no thinking required, nothing to remember the next day.

Wordle proved that a single daily puzzle can become a global habit. But Wordle is a word game — and once you have solved it, you either got it or you did not. There is no spectrum of skill, no way to play faster or cleaner tomorrow.

There is surprisingly little in between — a logic puzzle that takes under two minutes, rewards careful thought, and gives you a reason to improve.

The approach

PipForge is built on three design principles:

• Short but meaningful. Every puzzle is solvable in 1–2 minutes. Short enough for a daily habit, deep enough that your choices matter.
• Same puzzle, everyone. All players worldwide solve the exact same puzzle each day. This turns a solo game into a shared experience — compare times, share results, compete on the same terms.
• Skill shows. Fewer moves, less time, no hints — the game tracks how well you play, not just whether you finished. Improvement feels real.

How it works

1. Open the app. Today's puzzle is already waiting — no loading, no selection.
2. Solve. Drag domino tiles onto a 5×5 grid so that pip sums per row and column match the targets. Real-time feedback shows what is correct, close, or off.
3. See your result. Time, moves, hints used, and your current streak — all on one screen.
4. Share or compete. Send a spoiler-free result card to friends, or submit to the daily leaderboard.
5. Come back tomorrow. New puzzle, new chance to beat your best.

Core experiences

Daily Puzzle

One deterministic puzzle per day, generated from a date-based seed. Every device, same grid, same targets, same solution. The puzzle refreshes at midnight local time.

Real-time feedback

As you place tiles, row and column indicators update instantly. Correct sums glow teal, near-misses show amber, and wrong values stay dimmed. All feedback is colorblind-safe — combining color, shape, and text so nothing depends on color perception alone.

Hint system

Stuck? Three free hints per puzzle — each reveals one correct tile placement. Need more? Watch a short rewarded ad (always opt-in, never forced). Premium users get unlimited hints with no ads at all.

Leaderboard

Daily global ranking with low-friction submission. Your score combines time, moves, hints, and undos into a single composite — rewarding clean, fast solves. See where you stand among everyone who played today.

Practice mode

Not ready for the daily challenge? Practice mode offers five structured chapters — from basic placement to advanced constraints — so you can build skills at your own pace before competing.

Share

After winning, generate a visual result card showing your stats but not the solution. Share it on social media or messaging apps with a deep link that takes friends straight to today's puzzle in one tap.
