Lumo ("the App") is operated by Made By Bang ("we", "us"). This policy explains what data we collect and why.

1. Data We Collect

1.1 On-device data

The App stores the following locally on your device only (Hive database):

  • Puzzle progress and streak history
  • Settings (sound, haptic, theme, etc.)
  • Run history (last 100 runs, max combo, board count)
  • A non-revealing "onboarded" flag and a schema version

None of this data leaves your device.

1.2 Advertising data (Google AdMob)

The App uses Google AdMob to serve interstitial and rewarded ads. When an ad is served, AdMob receives from your device:

  • An advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS / GAID on Android) — used to show personalized ads if you granted permission; otherwise non-personalized
  • IP address, device model, OS version, country-level location
  • Ad interaction events (impression, click, skipped, completed)

We do not receive or store this data directly. See Google AdMob's privacy policy for full details.

1.3 Purchase data (IAP)

When you purchase "Remove Ads", the transaction is processed by Apple's App Store or Google Play. We receive a verifiable receipt token only — no payment-card information. Your purchase status is stored locally on your device.

2. Data We Do NOT Collect

  • No analytics (no Firebase Analytics, Sentry, Amplitude, or custom backend).
  • No server. The App is 100% offline except for ads and store transactions.
  • No email, name, location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos, or any personal information.

3. Your Choices

  • iOS App Tracking Transparency: On first launch, iOS shows a tracking prompt. Choosing "Ask App not to track" limits tracking and personalized ads. The App still works identically.
  • Remove Ads: A one-time $3.99 purchase removes all ads forever (interstitial and rewarded). After purchase, the App stops loading and showing ads. AdMob is not initialized while your purchase remains active on the device.
  • Clear data: Deleting the App from your device erases all locally stored data.

4. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. Ads served by AdMob may be age-restricted depending on the store rating we submit.

5. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when we change ad networks or add paid tiers. Material changes will be highlighted in the next App update's release notes.
