Terms of Service — HOLDLINE

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of HOLDLINE (the "App"), a mobile game developed by Made By Bang ("we", "us", "our"). By installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, please uninstall the App.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) to use the App. By using the App, you represent that you meet this requirement.

The App is rated 4+ on the App Store and Everyone on Google Play. It contains no violence, profanity, sexual content, or in-game advertising for adult products.

3. License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on devices you own or control, solely for personal, non-commercial use, in accordance with the App Store / Play Store terms.

You may not:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App except where permitted by applicable law
  • Modify, copy, redistribute, or create derivative works of the App
  • Use the App to violate any law, regulation, or third-party rights
  • Cheat, exploit bugs to gain unfair advantage, or disrupt other users' experience (e.g., manipulating Daily Seed leaderboards)
  • Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices

4. In-App Purchases

The App offers an optional one-time purchase called "No Forced Ads". By purchasing, you agree to the following:

  • Payment: Processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store) per their terms. We do not handle payment information.
  • Entitlement: Once purchased, the entitlement is restored across devices using the same Apple ID / Google Play account.
  • Refunds: Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google directly:
  • No Refunds From Us: We are not able to issue refunds outside of Apple/Google's processes.
  • Service Provided: Once purchased, "No Forced Ads" is honored on the current device immediately. Restoration on additional devices uses the platform's "Restore Purchases" flow in Settings.

We reserve the right to change the price of in-app purchases for new buyers. Existing purchases are not retroactively affected.

5. Advertising

The App may display advertising in future versions. Ads are gated by player progression (e.g., reaching Stage 10 or completing 3 runs). Players who purchase "No Forced Ads" will not be shown banner or interstitial ads but may still opt into rewarded ads as an optional bonus.

We are not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements served by ad networks. If you encounter inappropriate ad content, please report it via the in-app feedback button or our contact email.

6. User-Generated Content

HOLDLINE does not allow user-generated content (no chat, no profile, no asset uploads). Your gameplay history is stored only on your device.

7. Intellectual Property

The App, including all art, code, design, music, sound effects, and text, is the property of Made By Bang or its licensors, protected by copyright and trademark law. The "HOLDLINE" name and logo are trademarks of Made By Bang.

Sound effects in the App are licensed under Creative Commons Zero (CC0) from the Kenney UI Audio Pack (https://kenney.nl/assets/interface-sounds). All other assets are original or licensed for commercial use.

You retain no rights to the App other than the limited license described in §3.

8. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

  • The App will be available continuously, uninterrupted, or error-free
  • Daily Seed maps are bug-free or solvable in all configurations (we test extensively but accept no liability)
  • Game progress is permanently retained (uninstalling the app or device failure may erase data — back up via cloud sync if available)
  • The App is compatible with all devices or future OS versions

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so the above may not apply to you.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MADE BY BANG SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE APP.

Our total liability to you for any claim related to the App is limited to the amount you paid for the App and any in-app purchases in the 12 months prior to the claim, or USD $5, whichever is greater.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause, including for violation of these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it.

Upon termination:

  • The license in §3 is revoked
  • Your local data may be deleted by uninstall
  • IAP entitlements may still apply per Apple/Google's restoration flows

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the App shall be resolved in the courts of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, or via binding arbitration if both parties agree in writing.

If you are a consumer in the EU/UK, mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence apply where they grant you greater protection.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The new version will be posted with a new "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance. Significant changes (e.g., new monetization mechanics, mandatory accounts) will trigger an in-app notice.

13. Apple App Store / Google Play Specific Terms

If you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge:

  • These Terms are between you and us only — Apple is not a party
  • Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App
  • Apple is not responsible for any product warranties (express or implied)
  • Apple is not responsible for any third-party intellectual property claims
  • You agree to comply with the App Store Terms of Service when using the App
  • Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them against you

Similar provisions apply when using Google Play.

14. Privacy

Your privacy is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these Terms.
